Every Free Car and Motorcycle in Cyberpunk 2077 (And How to Get Them)

Night City has no shortage of ways to take your Eddies. Between cyberware upgrades, weapons, and apartments, your wallet takes a beating fast. The last thing you want to do is drop 100,000 Eddies on a car when you can get some of the best rides in the game completely free.

After the Delamain taxi demolishes your Hella during Act 2, you're going to need a new set of wheels fast. If you’re not inclined to stealing cars, and you’d rather save up what little Eddies you have, then you’re probably looking for free cars. If you pre-purchased the Phantom Liberty expansion, then you are given the Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante and it’s already in your inventory. However, if you are a new Cyberpunk 2077 player, then…

Your best bet after your first meeting with Takamura is to complete the “Heroes” quest and get Jackie’s bike from Mama Welles. Now, just how will you get to her if you haven’t discovered the Tourist Information Fast Travel in that area yet? Don’t worry. I gotchu. Each vehicle has been verified and updated for July 2026.

Take the Metro. Look on your map and look for the purple icon for the Metro. When you get to the Metro Station, take the train to Westbrook and get off at Glen South. From there, you can walk to the quest area.

After you complete the quest, and accept the keys to Jackie’s bike, you now have some preem transportation to hold you over until you get another vehicle.

And if you want more free cars, here's every free vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 and exactly how to get each one; base game first, then Phantom Liberty.

A Quick Note on Street Cred

Some vehicles require a minimum Street Cred level before they unlock. Street Cred is separate from your character level and goes up as you complete gigs, NCPD scanner hustles, and side jobs across Night City. The fastest way to build it early is to clear scanner hustles in your current district between story missions.

Base Game Free Vehicles

Here are all the free cars in Cyberpunk 2077 base game, personally verified July 2026. If I’ve missed any cars, let me know in the comments or on my Ko-Fi.

Free Cars

Archer Hella EC-D i360

Requirements: Story progression, no requirements.

This is V's default car, handed to you automatically early in the story. It's nothing special; basic speed, basic looks. It will get wrecked by a Delamain taxi during Act 2, but don't worry. It gets repaired eventually and returned to your garage. In the meantime, the rest of this list has you covered.

Thorton Colby CX410 Butte "Grand Butte"

Requirements: None found in the open world.

Head to the Badlands and find the Desert Film Set, an abandoned shooting location that clearly went very wrong. To get there, Fast Travel or make your way to Rocky Ridge in the Badlands. From the Fast Travel station, take the main road traveling away from Night City. You will come to a sign that says “Jeff’s Dirt Track.” Following the sign, make a left onto the dirt track and follow the road until you get to the abandoned movie set where a Fast Travel location becomes available and the quest “Dressed to Kill” pops up. The Colby Butte is sitting there waiting. No additional quests aside from inspect the scene. No street cred required. Just drive it out.

Thorton Galena GA40XT "Rattler"

If you started as a Nomad, this scrappy Badlands runner is your starting vehicle. You cannot get this vehicle outside of the Nomad life path.

Archer Quartz "Bandit"

Requirements: Complete Ghost Town main quest and spare Nash.

During Ghost Town, spare Nash after the confrontation. The Bandit becomes available afterward. To get it completely free, return to Nash's camp after the quest and find it abandoned nearby. Alternatively it appears on Autofixer for 69,000 Eddies if you prefer to buy it later.

Delamain No. 21

Requirements: Complete all seven Epistrophy missions and the Don’t Lose Your Mind mission.

The same taxi company whose AI system went haywire and wrecked your Hella now owes you a ride. Complete all seven Epistrophy gigs across Night City, tracking down rogue Delamain taxis. Once all seven are done, Delamain will call you a few days later to help with another mission at Delamain headquarters, “Don’t Lose Your Mind.” During the ending, you will need to make a choice: Reset the Core, Destroy the Core, if your Tech is at least 10, you can Merge the Core. Regardless of your choice, though, you will receive Delamain No. 21 as a reward.

Thorton Mackinaw "Saguaro"

Requirements: Complete all nine gigs in Badlands for Dakota.

Once you complete all nine gigs for Dakota, you will receive the Mackinaw Saguaro as a gift in V’s Megabuilding garage.

Villefort Alvarado "Vato"

Requirements: Complete Beat on the Brat: The Glen.

Find the Beat on the Brat: The Glen location on your map. Once you get there you will need to wager 20,000 eddies against Caesar’s car. Beat Caesar in a barehanded fist fight (Gorilla Arms are fair game).

Claire will gift you with “Beast” after the race whether you let her kill Samson or not.

Quadra Type-66 "Cthulhu"

Requirements: Complete The Beast in Me racing questline; specific choices.

After 7-10 in-game days, Samson will text you and gift you Cthulhu for saving his life. If you let Claire kill him, Cthulhu will go to the Autofixer for 67,000 Eddies.

Yaiba ARV-Q340 "Semimaru"

Requirements: Finish all of Claire Russell's racing missions, River Ward’s entire questline, including "The Hunt."

The Yaiba ARV-Q340 "Semimaru" was added to the game as a free vehicle to the base game during Update 2.3. After completing all of Claire’s and River’s quests, River will contact you via text message to begin the quest, "Motorbreath." It doesn’t matter which order you go in, as long as you complete all the quests. And no, you do not have to have Phantom Liberty in order to get the Motorbreath quest, even though the concept art was first seen in Phantom Liberty.

Quadra Type-66 640 TS “Bulitt”

Requirements: Complete all of Dino Dinovic's gigs in City Center.

Complete every gig Dino assigns you in the Downtown district. Once finished he'll contact you with one final job called Gas Gas Gas. Complete it and the Quadra Type-66 640 TS is yours.

Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

Requirements: Complete Gig: Life's Work, then Sex on Wheels

This is V's signature vehicle; the car featured in early Cyberpunk 2077 trailers. Complete Life's Work first, then the Sex on Wheels mission that follows. The V-Tech is your reward.

Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo

Requirements: Complete Chippin' In side job.

This is Johnny Silverhand's iconic car. During Chippin' In, after defeating Grayson, put your weapon away and say "Got lucky today." He'll hand over a keycard. Use it on the shipping container nearby using the button at the top of the ladder. Inside you'll find the Porsche along with Johnny's other belongings. Kill Grayson instead and you can loot the key from his body; both paths work.

Rayfield Caliburn "Murkmobile"

Requirements: Complete Ghost Town main quest; Street Cred 40

The best free car in the game and arguably the best car period. After completing Ghost Town with Panam, return to the tunnel where you fought Nash. Look for a blue shipping container near the central cavern. The Caliburn is inside. If the container doesn't appear, leave the tunnel, skip time to around midnight, and return. It should be there.

Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" (Update 2.0)

Requirements: Complete I'm In Love With My Car side job; Watson Northside.

Head to Watson Northside (Longshore Fast Travel is the closest). Directions from Longshore North: Go north (right of the fast travel) where it looks like desert. Make a left at the first metal tower on your left then immediately right, off-road, toward the abandoned warehouses. Find the warehouse. It’s an armored Type-66 variant with mounted weapons. Johnny appears beside the car when you arrive and triggers the the “I'm In Love With My Car” side job. The side job is simple. The car is locked. Scan the area for a box among debris to the right of the car behind the vehicle and grab the key from inside. The Hoon is the first free weaponized vehicle in the game. If you still have trouble finding the location, I made a quick YouTube short guide for you.

Thorton Mackinaw "Demiurge" (Update 2.0)

Requirements: No requirements.

Directions on how to get the Thornton Mackinaw “Demiurge” are as follows:

Go to the Southern Badlands and find the Protein Farm. You’ll see a church across the street from the Fast Travel location. Go to the church between 04:00 and 06:00 AM. Go inside and interact with the laptop in the center of the room. Open and browse every file and message (you won’t have to download anything. Just open and read everything). Next, go over to the Arasaka Tower Arcade game. Interact with it. You don’t have to play the game. You can exit out of the game as soon as the starting menu pops up. Next, head to the Wraith Camp in Eastern Badlands (you should already have the Fast Travel location at this point). Take the road in the opposite direction of the Wraith Camp and ride until you pass these: a group of enemies on the side of the road on your right, a group of enemies on the side of the road on your left, a digital three stack sign on your right, and just before you get to a second digital three stack sign. Get out of the car and look to your left to see the mountains and tower peaking from behind the mountain. Walk toward it until you come across a dirty mattress on the ground. It’s not a long walk. When you get to the mattress, stand on it in the middle and don’t move for 5-7 minutes. V’s chip will start to malfunction and will pass out. V will awaken with someone kneeling over here and then they’ll disappear. When you stand up, you will see the Thornton Mackinaw “Demiurge” monster truck.

Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred” (Update 2.3)

Requirements: Complete the following missions: Transmission, every Beast in Me, Search and Destroy

After you have completed Transmission, every Beast in Me race mission, and Search and Destroy, Muamar El Capitan will text you with a new job, “Freedom,” to recover a stolen car. After you accept the job, head to the Coronado Dam in Santo Domingo. Investigate the wreck and find the body with the shard next to him. Next, you’ll be guided to a construction site in Rancho Coronado. It’s filled with Arasaka guards. Clear them out. Once the area is cleared, go to the table with the laptop. Jack into the laptop. The car will immediately take off. DO NOT CHASE IT. Instead, read all the files and messages on the laptop. Text El Capitan the details. He’ll tell you to “ABORT.” Choose to continue to go after the car. When you do, a key will appear on the workbench on the table opposite the laptop table. Grab the key. Also, go to the table that is to the left of the laptop table. Find the tablet on the far end of that table and register yourself as a previous owner of the Mordred. Now, go to the location on your map to get stop the Mordred. You will need a weaponized vehicle to shoot the car a few times to make it stop. Tip: once you get to the car’s location, it’s basically taking the same route. Instead of chasing it, get in its path and shoot it as it comes toward you. When the car stops, get in, and it’s all yours. If you did not register yourself as the owner, your wanted level will raise to 3 stars.

Motorcycles

Jackie's Nazare Arch

She'll contact you later to attend his funeral at El Coyote Cojo. Accept the keys she offers after the ceremony. Arch Nazare "Itsumade"

Requirements: Unsure

I went directly to Watson Northside by fast traveling to the All Foods Plant in Northside Watson. From the fast travel point I looked across the street for. Look for a building with a horse drawing on a green wall and a garage next to it. I walked over to the garage and entered the passcode: 0214. Enter it and the bike is automatically added to your collection.

After your meeting, someone named Ashlay will contact you afterward with a job called Moving Heat. Head to the Barghest facility beneath Dogtown stadium near EBM Petrochem Station. You can either go in stealthy or defeat all the enemies, steal the Charon, and escape. If you go in stealth, you can drive out safely. But if you go in fighting, you’ll have to fight your way out. Either way, the car is yours to keep.

Herrera Outlaw "Weiler"

Requirements: Complete 8 Vehicle Contracts for El Capitan to unlock the gig, Baby Let Me Take You

Start El Capitan's Vehicle Contracts by stealing one of the contract vehicles flashing on your minimap. This triggers Push It to the Limit and unlocks the contract system. Complete enough contracts and El Capitan sends you Baby Let Me Take You. Help him steal an Arasaka Medical Truck successfully and the Weiler is your reward.

The Nazare ARCH "Malina Mobile"

Motorcycles

Nazare ARCH "Malina Mobile"

Requirements: Complete Dazed and Confused.

During Dazed and Confused, don’t overreact and knock out or kill Shank. Hear him out and then go get Malina to convince her to come to Brainporium shop. Her Scav crew will be outside her apartment and you’ll have to kill them then hide their bodies. You will be prompted to break into her apartment then wait outside for her because, well, it looks bad. When prompted, do not tell Malina the truth and convince her you work with a BD company. Once she agrees and meets you at Brainporium tell Malina to convince Tool that he is her sister during the shoot. She'll leave you the Baby Boomer bat. Two days later she will text you thank you. Two days after that she will text you again to tell you she left something for you at the shop. The Malina Mobile is waiting for you there.

These are all of the free cars in Cyberpunk 2077 including Update 2.3. If I missed any cars, got a detail wrong, or you have questions, let me know in the comments or on my Ko-Fi.
