On-Together's First DLC Brings the Beach to Your Workflow

On-Together: Virtual Co-Working surprised fans by dropping its first premium DLC, "Summer Studies," during the Women-Led Games Showcase, and it is exactly as delightful as it sounds. The base game, developed by a four-person indie team at GigaPuff, has earned over 1,000 "Very Positive" reviews on Steam and built a devoted community around its core premise: a cozy virtual co-working space where you and your digital pals sit together at the bottom of your screen while you actually get things done.

PC Gamer described it as "like going to an office in Animal Crossing," which is honestly the most accurate thing anyone could say about it.

What the Summer Studies DLC Adds

The DLC introduces a new way to focus from the comfort of customizable floaties, with over 40 options to choose from, ranging from a flamingo floatie to an ice cream sunbed. Beyond the floaties, three new DLC-exclusive pets join the roster: Mantana the Manta Ray, Octako the Dumbo Octopus, and Gullito the Seagull. They can be unlocked by trying the new water focus activities, like doing sit-ups on a bed float or drinking from a coconut while sitting in your floatie.

Shark season also comes to OT Island, with 10 unique sharks to discover and fish for along the shore. On the cosmetics side, a full summer wardrobe is included, covering bikinis, swimsuits, sandals, beach hats, bags, and beach-wavy hairstyles. The DLC also brings new summer-themed desk items and an exclusive 10-track playlist featuring bossa nova, calypso, and beachy music.

The Free Summer Update

Purchasing the DLC is not required to benefit from this update cycle. The free summer update to the base game introduces a Mini Map so players can locate friends more easily, along with PomoSync, which lets players synchronize their focus timers with others. A new free pet, Karetto the Caretta Sea Turtle, also arrives for all players, alongside non-summer cosmetics including cozy self-care looks and classic witchy fashion. The level cap has also been raised to 60 for players who take their productivity very, very seriously.
