Where Winds Meet Homestead Prosperity Guide: How to Level Up Fast
If you have been wondering why your Homestead level is not moving, Prosperity is likely the answer. Increasing Prosperity is how you level up your business. While most guides will tell you to spam-build items that cost the least amount of Bounty Gourd (i.e. lanterns) you do not have to spam-build one specific item in one specific spot. You just have to place components and furniture across your Homestead properties and let it add up. Not just the inn, but all properties count toward your overall Prosperity.

How Prosperity Works
Placing components and furniture anywhere within your Homestead areas increases your Homestead Prosperity. The detail most players miss is that Prosperity pulls from all of your properties combined, not just Blissful Retreat. Each facility has its own Prosperity threshold, however, makes up your overall Prosperity. Your Beyond Mundane private island, your Qinghe residences, the Porcelain Kiln, your farmland, etc., all of it counts toward your total Prosperity score. So, if you have been grinding Blissful Retreat alone and wondering why progress feels slow, spreading your building efforts across your other properties will move the meter faster.
Homestead Prosperity Thresholds by Level
Here is what you need to reach each Homestead level. Note that some levels require both Prosperity and Bounty Gourd, so keep your Inn (Restaurant) and Young Master's Routine running consistently alongside your building efforts.
Levels 1 to 2: 50 Prosperity and 1,000 Bounty Gourd
Level 2 to 3: 250 Prosperity and 1,000 Bounty Gourd
Level 3 to 4: 1500 Prosperity and 3,000 Bounty Gourd
Level 4 to 5: 3000 Prosperity and 3,000 Bounty Gourd
Level 5 to 6: 7000 Prosperity and 30,000 Bounty Gourd
I will update this table as I confirm the additional level thresholds through gameplay.
How to Raise Prosperity Quickly
The early levels move fast. Levels 1 through 3 are really about following the tutorial and setting up your business, placing your facilities, and making sure they are operational. So, some people do not really bother with deliberate decorating. However, carefully selecting the right furniture to place and where to place them saves you time and trouble. And the Prosperity from those placements alone is usually enough to clear the first two thresholds without much effort.
A popular strategy in the community is to spam-build inexpensive items with decent Prosperity yields. Bamboo Cluster 1, for example, costs 100 Bounty Gourd and gives 20 Prosperity per placement. Placing enough of them took my total Propserity from 5000 to 8000 Prosperity without my realizing how quickly it added up. The trade-off is that it burns through Bounty Gourd fast, so it is most effective once your income streams are stable rather than early on when every Gourd counts.
Beyond Mundane private island where I used Bamboo Cluster 1 to max out my overall Homestead Prosperity
Beyond Mundane is one of the best places to build freely for Prosperity because it is your private island with no fixed layout restrictions. Place what you want, where you want, and the Prosperity contribution of Beyond Mundane counts toward your overall Homestead Prosperity. Beyond Artistry, launching July 3, 2026, will let you share your Beyond Mundane builds with other players, so there is a double incentive to invest in decorating that space now.
The Real Key to Leveling Homestead
The players who stall out are usually the ones treating Prosperity and Bounty Gourd as separate problems. They are not. Levels 3 to 4 and 5 to 6 both require large amounts of both simultaneously, and the Bounty Gourd requirements in particular are steep enough that neglecting your Inn (Restaurant), Young Master's Routine, and Trade for Profit will leave you Prosperity-ready but currency-broke. Run both systems in parallel and neither threshold will feel like a wall.
